I always speak with them by phone or chat....and also visited them 4 times in the last 6 years and they did as well...
I'm planning to live there for a year or two, until i've taken a way and can say i'm made!
If i stay at home i don't have to take many responsabilities in some aspects of life, i really need a break from family, securities, friends and stuff...
So i think the best is to go some time away...plus my parents agree with me on this (strangely) and they think it is good for me that still haven't decided what to do..

so.....ROAD TRIP!!!
Yes, there comes a time when you need to get away....if this is your time---be careful, and mindful and ..
have a dammn good time
took my hubby shopping today--he hates shopping, but needed a new coat--so he tried on (after much urging) just about every coat in the store---more than once....and came to the same conclusion we did last time we went shopping for this coat (about 2 weeks ago)....he wasnt happy with either choice completely---while this if fine, he still NEEDED a coat---continuing to delay purchasing one wont get him covered when its raining etc.
.....
did I mention I hate shopping with him just as much as he hates shopping????
(yes after 3 hours we finally did buy a coat---I will be hearing about its shortcomings for the next few years )

I haven't been on a road trip in a very long time. Though for Easter I'm going to my gf's, though that is only 3 hours away lol Don't know if I can classify that as a road trip.
My dad is always buying new coats that he finds that are great deals. He got a $120 coat for $15 before. Pretty freaking crazy. And I kind of need a new raincoat. The one I currently have wicks all the water down onto my pants. And I don't mean the bottom of my pants, I mean at the top where the coat stops and my pants start. Not cool rain coat, not cool.

when I was in college I spent $15 and bought a wind breaker, it was powder puff blue and had my college logo on it...I wore that coat for 15 years, it had a few tears and was not very water proof, but hey I had it and it was good----well in the late '90's my friends convinced me my coat had had it ....so I returned to my college looking for a new coat (why my college? well my wonderful gene pool includes really long arms which most if not all clothing manufacturers seem to think is a non-issue, thus long sleeves for me never even make it down to my watch!)....alas, my powder puff type coat was no longer being made and I had to settle for something a bit more pricey ($56!! )...therefore, I will need to wear this new coat/jacket for the next 56 years to get the same mileage/wear out of it....its been about 13 or so years since then....I wore the jacket/coat during my time in japan (yes I was even wearing it when it was 100 out...just roll up the sleeves a bit).
I do have a real winter coat, however, since living in japan I find that I tolerate cold lots better than I used to---so a spring/fall jacket is all I need until it gets really well below zero at which time I will dust off my winter coat.
so I have a tendency to just keep using what I have until it dies a horrible death (we almost had a ritual for my powder puff coat). and my new one is not perfect, it is not water proof, but kinda water resistant (yes if its poring rain I will get wet--and have proof of it as well from some of my trips I took in japan whilst wearing it)....but it is one of the few coats I have that actually is LONGER than my arms /faint....
sorry long story (dont think I am capable of writing short ones anylonger---)
now shoes are another story...................

I bought shoes called porsche design for 129.99 and I am kinda regretting i spent that much on shoes. Well at least i am not like some people who waste more than $500 on shoes.
@IPwndU If you like NCIS and Bones you would like house, NCIS Los angeles, and the mentalist.

ah shoes (lady here, so have some deep intel. on this subject).
depends on the shoe really.....for the most part everyday junk--whatever is cheap and looks ok, for walking/hiking/etc...spending a bit of money your feet will thank you later. (same goes for gym type shoes)....now we arent talking outrageous prices, but if you are looking at a no-name gym shoe and say nike ....go with the nike.
I dont wear heals so cant go there (and since most of the peeps here are male --I dont believe they go there either, I hope------)

I already watch NCIS:LA, I watch House occasionally though I have never been able to really get into it. Tried watching The Mentalist but I couldn't get into it. I have enough current shows that I watch. lol
Shoes? Pants? Coats? Clothes? Ya, I usually wear them for 8+ years. I had to get new dress pants this year because the ones I currently had were from my freshman year of high school (8 years ago!). So I usually have to outgrow or bust my clothes somehow before I get new ones.

so is your holiday over now pwnd?
and yeah, not a fan of clothing shopping ...I am not nor have I ever been a size 2 or 4 ....and most of the clothing in my size looks like rejects from 1950 (and they werent good then either)....so when I find something I like (that fits) I usually try to buy it in a few colors so I have it for a long time......though I do like sweaters
had to turn the a/c on saturday--hubbys computer had a meltdown (yeah the a/c aint for the people living here, its for the computers )...still not back up and running, had to wipe the bios to even get it to think about starting again---not a good sign, but heck its now 7+ years old---its had a good run.
guess spring is almost over and summer is quick on its heals-----

Ya, it was back to the real world today. Not that it was a bad thing. I was glad to get back into my routine. Plus I only have 4 weeks left of student teaching. So I am getting down to the end of it.
No a/c here, which was sad. Made it really hot. Couldn't really fall asleep. Wasn't cool at all.
Grr, my phone picks the worst times to die. Currently dying now and if I don't let it die all the way and then charge it all the way it throws fits for the next 3 days. ><

gee sounds like stuff around here....sorta got the hubbys computer working again....no video, then it wont reboot (my theory is the reboot command is fraked and never to use it--just shut down and start up again, yeah its an extra step, but the other way requires us to unplug a bunch of stuff, pull out the vid card, change the bios.....so yeah if just never hitting reboot again solves this.....I can deal with it).....
cool again here....but think its time to go fan shopping---our old one died last year (ball bearing issues, not repairable anylonger--but hey, 35 years is good for a box fan!)...and our a/c doesnt get to the bed room (ok neither does the heat--but that's another issue altogether)....

ok, i need to complete make my computer fresh, and remove loads of things, so it's back to fabric something, you know like a reboot with a cd so it deletes all and everything and makes the pc fast/good again.
Well, the problem i have is, i do have the cd, but my friggin Cd-Rom drive can not read cds anymore for whatever reason, and everytime i try to start my pc all over, it requires a cd...
Also, i just bough a shirt for like 0.3$ that was worth 10$ before /flex.

gee...been there too...you need to change the boot from cd to one of your drives, also you need a new cd rom drive (you will need it to load programs and stuff anyways--doesnt need to be top of the line, but something that works).
yeah we had to start over from the bios every time we tired to put the vid card in--and then change it so it works from that card and not the on-board....and then we would hit reboot----and bam .....back to the black screen with nothing, and no signal from the card and the onboard deactivated....took us 2 days and quite a few hours (and yes some rather loud talking)....its working again--and the reboot does NOT work!
bleh....I am not a computer tech, yet I have fixed just his computer, yet again.
and azzer good job on the deal spotting!!

I just need to buy a new computer this summer. This one is 5 or 6 years old now. Ancient in computer terms. Still does a good job for the most part but it definitely has slowed down. Oh well.
Tuesday... Yup. Really would like to sleep better at night...

ah yes, we are going to build 2 new computers this year (why buy when you can make me build a case?????). Mine was rebuilt last year because of issues my mb had with just about any vid card.....so we just chucked it and got a new mb, processor, hd (and new windows grrrr)....plus some memory upgrades (good thing my vid card was new)...same case, kept the old hd as a back up (had plenty of space why not).....
with hubbys we are going to try to keep the old plexi case we built in 03 (before I left for japan)....but will have to find another ati mb with the plugs on the same side (and the card slots) since the holes are already there from the old mb in the case. Should be fun.
geez havent talked about food in at least 2 posts----pizza tonight

Ya well I figured I would just talk to my egghead brother who has a pretty good grasp on computers since he is an interactive media major. But I might check with the tech-heads in the tech corner.
Had sloppy joes, which was still good but I could have done with some pizza.
Well I have an interview tomorrow after school and another next week at 9am... Just want to get these things over with...
